Fix it, don't bin it. The Repair Café comes to the Crafts Museum Ovelgönne. Bring your broken small appliances and volunteer repairers will work with you to get them running again.
The idea is simple: people bring broken things and other people help fix them. Electrical devices, household appliances, garden tools, toys, whatever it is, here we look before we throw away. Practical knowledge is shared, new connections are made, and in the end, something that seemed lost might just work again.
The Museum as a Meeting Place
The Repair Café is organised by the Municipality of Ovelgönne. We are glad to provide the space: our house fits well with a place where knowledge about craft and repair is passed on. That is what we stand for.
Just Drop In
No registration required. Bring your item, come along and see what can be done. Admission is free; a small donation towards running costs is welcome. If you can repair things yourself and would like to help, you are very welcome to join the team.
Please bring patience: not every repair succeeds, and some things take time. The volunteers do their best but there is no guarantee of success. The important thing is making the attempt.
