On 21 November 2026 the WeihnachtsBasar Ovelgönne opens its doors from 11 AM to 5 PM. In the festively decorated Crafts Museum and museum garden, numerous regional exhibitors will present their handmade products, artwork and wonderful gift ideas for the Christmas season.
The WeihnachtsBasar Ovelgönne is organised jointly by the Sportschützenverein Ovelgönne e.V. and the Heimat- und Kulturverein Ovelgönne e.V.. The event takes place in the atmospheric setting of the Crafts Museum Ovelgönne and the Schützenhaus (behind "Zum König von Griechenland").
The WeihnachtsBasar Ovelgönne is a firm fixture in the pre-Christmas calendar of the Wesermarsch region. The focus is on the handmade: pottery, textiles, woodwork, candles, jewellery and much more. The historic Bürgerhaus of the museum forms the atmospheric backdrop for lovely encounters and a special afternoon's shopping with character.
Food, Drinks & Atmosphere
Your appetite will be well taken care of: there is delicious food as well as hot and cold drinks, including, of course, mulled wine. Those who wish can also explore the museum's exhibition rooms after browsing the market, as they will be open on this day too.
