The Crafts Museum Ovelgönne is a living museum at the heart of the Wesermarsch region. It preserves and communicates the craft heritage of the area, connecting historic collections with contemporary educational formats.
Since its founding in 1981, the museum has been housed in the historic townhouse of 1773 on the market square of Ovelgönne, operated by the Heimat- und Kulturverein Ovelgönne e.V. A modern annexe building hosts changing special exhibitions.
Among the museum's highlights are the interactive Time Crank Workshop, a digital exhibition guide, and an extensive education programme for schools and groups.

The Crafts Museum Ovelgönne will present the exhibition "WÄRME I TOPLINA – Survival through Craft" from summer 2026. The exhibition shows improvised stoves from the besieged Sarajevo of the 1990s alongside artefacts from the post-war period in the Wesermarsch region.
